Maxwell Reichert
Sound Healing Practitioner

Reiki Practitioner
My journey into healing arose from a profound personal transformation—a sacred awakening shaped by pain, resilience, and the call to something greater. For much of my life, I carried the echoes of childhood adversity and the weight of addiction, trapped in cycles of suffering and disconnection from my true essence. But three years ago, I chose a different path—a path of healing, renewal, and reconnection. It was on this journey that I discovered the profound alchemy of sound and yoga.
Through vibration, movement, breath and intention, I found a gateway to release deep-seated trauma, soothe my nervous system, and realign with my soul’s truth. Vibration became my medicine, my sanctuary, and my bridge back to wholeness. Now, I share this gift with others—creating sacred spaces where peace unfolds, presence is reclaimed, and healing flows freely. My mission is to hold a compassionate, loving space for those on their own path, guiding them toward the remembrance that transformation is not only possible but inevitable when we attune to the harmony within.
My path has been anything but linear. I have lived many lives—working in farming, construction, hospitality, yachting, nightlife, and production—each experience shaping me, teaching me, and revealing deeper truths about the human experience. From the soil to the sea, from the pulse of the dance floor to the quiet hum of creation, I have witnessed the power of connection, movement, and energy in all forms. These journeys have all led me here, to my true purpose: to heal, to hold space, and to be of service.

I, Maxwell Reichert, am a survivor of addiction. My journey through darkness, pain, and self-destruction has become the foundation of my purpose. I have faced the parts of myself that I once tried to numb and silence, and I’ve chosen healing over hiding, growth over guilt, and love over fear.

Recovery has taught me that strength isn’t about never falling—it's about rising every single time. I carry my scars not as shame, but as symbols of resilience. They remind me that transformation is possible, even when it feels impossible.

My purpose now is to be a light for others who are still walking through the shadows. I speak my truth so others can find theirs. I hold space for healing, because I know what it’s like to need it. And I offer hope—not as a distant idea, but as a living, breathing reality I get to embody every day.

Our Studio

51 Chestnut Street in New Haven, Connecticut, is a reimagined 1880s machine shop transformed by artist Tony Kosloski into Chestnut Street Studio—a dynamic hub for art, movement, and community. Since acquiring the building in 1981, Kosloski has infused the space with his sculptural vision, creating an environment that fosters creativity and collaboration.
Complementing this artistic foundation, Melinda Bronson offers dance and movement classes that emphasize improvisation, embodiment, and mindful practice, enriching the studio's offerings. Together, their work has established Chestnut Street Studio as a unique cultural space in the heart of Wooster Square.

We are deeply honored to be part of this living, breathing creative sanctuary. Holding space for healing within these storied walls is a privilege we do not take lightly. To share sound, stillness, and transformation in a place shaped by such rich artistic legacy is a profound gift—one that continually inspires reverence, gratitude, and a deep commitment to service and community.
